We are increadibly lucky that we are able to explore new ways of living and
through that create stories that might inspire others. With a new decade ahead
and a pretty clean slate I see lots of opportunities to work on exciting
projects around the wider topics of how we live and how we travel.
Last year we packed our belongings in New Zealand into boxes, sold our cars and
welcomed a friend of ours to look after our mountain retreat. In Europe we
moved back into our Landrover and toured around to search for our next home, we
found it in La Rochelle, an Amel Super Maramu that we started refitting last
year. Now, we want to live fulltime on the boat and decided to go a step
further, rip out the smoky old diesel and replace it with an electric engine.
Our Landrover is up for sale and if everything pans out we will be living and
travelling creating most of our energy needs from wind and sun in a few months.
As a theme I have set myself #fixTheNow for the coming future. Many people have
opinions about what should be done but don't change the things they have
control over. I am a fan of living ideas to see if they work. Over the years I
learned that no plan ever works but general directions help a lot to hone in on
a goal over time. With that in mind I set myself a goal and will iterate
towards it, one experiment at a time.
#fixTheNow will be many small experiments that all have the goal to add real
world experience to discussions. KFOS EP 1 will be our home and also a floating
exploration pod to explore new concepts, prototype new tech and tinker with
ideas. I love tinkering and know that the outcomes are often worth sharing so I
will work on sharing more.
Most important, Manu and I will create new stories that hopefully inspire
others to do things, to dare, to jump, to start living by embracing
